Hwang Dong-Man (Koo Kyo-Hwan) is an aspiring director and the only member of the renowned film industry circle “The Eight” who has yet to make his debut. He constantly battles feelings of inadequacy, trying not to be overwhelmed by self-doubt. Byeon Eun-A (Go Youn-Jung) works as a producer at Choi Film and is nicknamed “The Ax” for her brutally sharp script critiques, while quietly suppressing her inner anger and fears.

Park Kyeong-Se (Oh Jung-Se), an established film director, finds himself increasingly shaken—especially by Dong-Man—after his latest movie fails at the box office. His wife, Ko Hye-Jin (Kang Mal-Geum), is the CEO of Gobak Film, a calm and resilient woman who patiently listens to Dong-Man’s long, rambling thoughts. Meanwhile, Hwang Jin-Man (Park Hae-Joon), Dong-Man’s older brother and a former poet, lives with a deep sense of emptiness after losing his creative spark and watching his inner world collapse.
